FAQ

Q: Who is Kat?

A: I’m a B2B SaaS copywriter with an equal love for data and grammar. That’s the (very) short of it. If you want to learn more, head on over to my About page.

Q: Are your rates hourly or do you charge by word count?

A: Neither! My pricing is value-based, so you’re paying for the ROI and quality of the finished product instead of how long it takes me to complete it. For blog post writing, I use a word count range to determine the ballpark of the project fee, but I have no interest in nickel-and-diming you over a few extra words.

In addition, all project fees include:
- Research time
- Examples, case studies, expert quotes, and screenshots
- SEO keyword integration and post formatting
- Two free rounds of revisions
- Links to your existing content
- CMS publishing: I have ample experience working within CMS like WordPress and Squarespace. I’d be happy to get the piece publish-ready in your CMS and ping you when it’s ready. This applies to blog content only.

Q: Do you offer ghostwriting?

A: I do! However, there is an additional 20% fee with ghostwriting projects because my name and a link to my website aren’t included in the byline.

Q: What is the typical starting cost of a project?

A: Content pieces vary depending on the length of the project. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect depending on the content type:

- Blog posts: Starting at $700/post for 1,000 - 1,500 words
- Whitepapers/ebooks/guides: Starting at $1,150/piece for 3,000 - 3,500 words

For website copywriting, those project quotes will vary per client. But for the most part, you can expect to spend about $2,500 - $5,000 on a web copy project with me.

Q: Why do your prices start there?

A: If you’re here, chances are you’re looking to invest in your content, not find a band-aid solution. We are free of band-aid solutions over here! Clients that work with me understand the importance of high-quality content that converts — a product I have a proven track record of providing for many clients.

Q: What does the process for a new client look like?

A: After the contract has been signed and the quote + proposal has been approved, all new clients follow the same streamlined process depending on the service you’ve hired me for.

- Upon signing the contract, you’ll also pay a 50% deposit. That deposit locks you into my calendar.
- I'll sit down (virtually, of course) with those who know your product and brand the best — your customers! I’ll conduct between 5-7 customer interviews.
- After the interviews have wrapped, I'll start tackling the first draft. I’ll send over a sample of the copy after 2-3 business days.
- I'll present the first draft, and you'll have 7 business days to review and provide feedback. The full copy deck includes two rounds of revisions.

Website copywriting projects take 4-6 weeks to complete.

Q: When can you start?

A: I request at least a two-week lead-time for all new projects. I usually have about 1 or 2 openings per month for new clients, so let’s get chatting.
